A number of roads that is likely to become such illegal parking locations namely, Jalan Raya Cakung Cilincing and Jalan Akses Marunda Cilincing Sub-District, as well as Jalan Enggano and Jalan Martadinata Tanjung Priok Sub-District.

Park Repair in N. Jakarta Stagnated

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Arifin Hamonangan, acknowledged that the rampant of container trucks illegal parking on a number of roads in North Jakarta makes him angry. He was upset despite repeatedly controlled, the drivers always return after the officers left.

"It has been repeatedly controlled, but they always come back. There's no way our officers to guard 24 hours in there," Hamonangan explained.

Hamonangan’s party suspects the absence of pool has made the trucks to park on street around the Tanjung Priok Port to get some rest.

As a result, the presence of those container trucks has become one of the of congestion cause in North Jakarta and made the road becomes narrower.

"That's why we want to coordinate with the Mayor, Pelindo and Organda to apply the obligation of having pool for containers in North Jakarta and those that have not, we will let them in. Otherwise it will not be solved," Hamonangan completed.
